The HGST Ultrastar DC HC550 16TB hard drive is designed for enterprise Data Center use, leveraging OptiNAND technology that integrates iNAND Universal Flash Storage (UFS) with CMR spinning platters to enhance resilience against sudden power loss (EPO) and effectively prevent data loss. With ArmorCache, data is instantly written to non-volatile memory (NVM) upon power failure, enabling full Write Cache utilization without requiring Write Cache Disable (WCD), reducing data loss risk and improving system performance
