สามารถติดตั้งได้ทั้งบนผนังและในตู้เครื่อง เนื่องจากมีน้ำหนักเบาและขนาดเล็ก แต่ควรหลีกเลี่ยงการพันหรือบิดสายเกินไปเพื่อรักษาความสมบูรณ์ของเส้นใยแสง
