TP-Link MC110CS is a single-mode network media converter designed to convert signals between 10/100Mbps LAN cable (RJ45) and 100BASE-FX fiber optic, fully supporting IEEE 802.3 and IEEE 802.3u standards. It enables data transmission up to 20 kilometers using 1310nm wavelength lasers for both transmit and receive modes, making it ideal for long-distance network installations such as buildings several kilometers apart or enterprise-level telecommunications networks. The converter supports Full-Duplex operation and features flow control systems including IEEE 802.3x and Backpressure to prevent packet loss during high data traffic. It also supports Auto-negotiation in both Half-Duplex and Full-Duplex modes and includes Auto MDI/MDIX on the RJ45 port, eliminating the need to worry about crossover or straight-through cables.
