The TP-Link MC112CS is a WDM (Wavelength Division Multiplexing) fiber optic media converter that efficiently converts 10/100Mbps LAN cable (RJ45) signals into single-mode SC fiber optic signals using WDM technology to transmit both incoming and outgoing data over a single fiber strand, reducing fiber cable costs by half compared to traditional systems. It supports a maximum transmission distance of 20 kilometers (12.5 miles) and automatically operates in both Full-duplex and Half-duplex modes. It works seamlessly with single-mode fiber cables compliant with IEEE 802.3u 100BASE-FX standards.
