The TP-Link MC212CS-2 media converter uses WDM (Wavelength Division Multiplexing) technology to send and receive data simultaneously over a single fiber using 1550 nm for transmission and 1310 nm for reception, enabling network extension up to 2 kilometers without installing additional fiber cables. It supports 10/100/1000 Mbps RJ45 ports with Auto-MDI/MDIX and Auto-negotiation in both Half-Duplex and Full-Duplex modes, enabling plug-and-play compatibility with standard network devices.
