The TP-Link MC212CS-2 Media Converter is designed to extend Gigabit network connectivity using a single fiber optic cable. It supports data transfer speeds up to 1 Gbps over the RJ45 port and can extend distances up to 2 kilometers using WDM (Wavelength Division Multiplexing) technology, enabling simultaneous data transmission and reception over a single fiber by using different wavelengths (1550 nm for transmission and 1310 nm for reception). This effectively reduces fiber cabling costs. It is ideal for inter-building network connections, remote CCTV systems, and factory automation devices requiring high stability and long-distance connectivity.
