TP-Link MC220L is a Gigabit network media converter that extends the data transmission distance of existing networks using fiber optic cables by converting signals between 10/100/1000 Mbps RJ45 ports and SFP ports for use with fiber optic modules such as 1000BASE-SX or 1000BASE-LX. It supports Auto-negotiation in both Half-Duplex and Full-Duplex modes, along with Auto-MDI/MDIX for automatic cable type detection, eliminating the need to worry about crossover or straight-through cables. It is suitable for both in-building networks and long-distance inter-building connections, as well as for remote CCTV systems or industrial automation equipment.
