เมื่อทำงาน (Active) ใช้พลังงานประมาณ 7.5W และเมื่ออยู่ในโหมดพัก (Idle) ใช้เพียง 4.5W ทำให้ประหยัดไฟและลดความร้อน

ขนาดของฮาร์ดดิสก์คือ 26.1 x 101.6 x 147 มม. และหนัก 1.3 กก. จึงต้องใช้เคสที่รองรับได้ 3.5" โดยเฉพาะในตำแหน่งที่มีพื้นที่เพียงพอ
