The Cisco Catalyst 9164I AP (W6E) is a premium wireless access point that fully supports Wi-Fi 6 and Wi-Fi 6E standards, especially in the 6 GHz band, which reduces interference and increases bandwidth for compatible devices. It supports up to 10 spatial streams via uplink/downlink MU-MIMO technology and OFDMA channel allocation to reduce latency and improve performance in high-user-density environments such as online meetings, 4K video streaming, or real-time collaboration applications. Additionally, it features automatic Band Steering that enables Wi-Fi 6E devices to seamlessly switch to the 6 GHz band, improving speed and reducing congestion on the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands for older devices.
