Cisco Catalyst Wireless 9162I AP is a new-generation Access Point designed for organization use, supporting the Wi-Fi 6E (802.11ax) standard with full Tri-Band operation on 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, and 6 GHz frequency bands. It enables more simultaneous connections, especially in environments with many devices such as offices, meeting rooms, or educational institutions. With OFDMA and MU-MIMO technologies supporting up to 12 spatial streams, it reduces latency and improves performance for high-bandwidth applications such as 4K/8K video conferencing or large file sharing. Additionally, it features a radio for full-time RF management and security, enabling real-time wireless spectrum monitoring, interference detection, and automatic channel optimization through the cloud, making the network more stable and secure.
